Welcome the visit of Prof. Michio Suzuki from University of Tokyo!
On 18, September, 2024, invited by Prof. Zhaoyong Zou, Prof. Michio Suzuki from University of Tokyo, Japan, visited the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing, Wuhan University of Technology, and gave a lecture entitled “Structure and function of biomineral proteins in molluskan shells”.
Prof. Michio Suzuki shared the latest research progress of their groups and their areas of research interest at the presentation, and engaged in scientific discussions with the attending students and faculty members, which greatly stimulated the research interests of the students.
Biography Professor Michio Suzuki received Bachelor ’s and Doctor ’s degrees from the University of Tokyo in 2005 and 2008, respectively. From 2009 to 2013, he served as a special researcher of the Japan Association for the Revitalization of Disciplines ( Faculty of Science, University of Tokyo ). In April 2013, he was appointed as a Research Fellow of the Department of Agricultura and Life Sciences, University College of Tokyo. He is currently the Director of the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Applied Biochemistry, Department of Agronomy and Life Sciences, University College of Tokyo. The main research fields include : biomineralization mechanism, organic-inorganic interaction, and the use of microorganisms to form nanoparticles. The research results were published in Science, PNAS, JMATER CHEM B and other journals
